Big Oil Presses Congress for More Drilling
America's Arctic and other special places are on the chopping block. Emboldened by high gas prices, Big Oil's friends are back in Congress this week, mounting an aggressive attack on our coasts and the Arctic Refuge. They want to use our public lands and waters for their private profit, and permanently destroy America's natural treasures in the process. We know drilling is not the answer. We want a clean energy proposal that closes royalty giveaways for Big Oil and increases our use of clean, renewable energy sources like properly-sited wind and solar and increasing transportation options. But with all the fervor for drilling these days, it's going to be a tough fight — we need your help. |
